Dr. Thornton Leutzinger

In today’s culture and climate, Thornton was delivered from a life of drug addiction, lawlessness, and complete disorder. In 1980, God apprehended Thornton in a jail cell in Houston, TX, and has been bringing purpose and order to his life ever since.
Having ministered in prisons for 10 years, he has witnessed the Lord take others and establish order in their lives as well. Within a year of taking a church to pastor, the Lord spoke to him to “Set My House in Order.” During this time, Thornton learned that there is an order and pattern for everything that God does.
A Ministry of Order
In 1988, he was led to a church in Abbeville, SC, to help with the revival God had brought to that place and to assist the pastor in bringing the order of God to that house. While there, Thornton trained the praise team, trained counselors, and headed the counseling ministry.
A Passion for Restoration
The passion of his heart and ministry is to help the people of God understand the “restored image of God” in the life of the believer. His goal is to bring freedom to individuals so that the life of the Spirit may freely flow to and through them to impact others.
Thornton’s heart burns with a desire to see the “Tabernacle of David” restored to the church. He believes in creating a free flow of thanksgiving and gladness in the House of God. He teaches that there is an “Order of Praise” that releases the flow of God’s presence among His people.
God’s Divine Order
Thornton carries a burden to see “God’s Divine Order” in the governing of the House of God. He teaches about an order and flow that starts with headship ministry and reaches the congregation through unity of vision and purpose, releasing a commanded blessing into communities.
He also emphasizes the natural and spiritual impartation that occurs when the hearts of the fathers are turned to the children and the children to the fathers. Thornton believes there is a pattern of fathering sons in every aspect of the Kingdom and life.
Releasing Flow in Ministry
Thornton is passionate about training and teaching churches how to release and increase the flow in their lives and ministries. In everything, he believes there is an order and structure that creates and releases flow, empowering the church to thrive in its purpose.
